If you are already familiar with what RSS feeds are, no need to read further than this paragraph:  Click the nice shiny rss image on the bottom of any page of the forum.  Subscribe using the RSS reader of your choice. The feed is not topic-specific, so subscribing means subscribing to every single new post.  This should please many of our current digest and email readers.  (I know it helps me tremendously as I am a blog addict and check my feeds all day long.)

If you are new to RSS, do not fear.  It's a great tool that makes surfing the web much easier.  Let's say you are a frequent reader of dooce, soulemama, and betternow, plus you like to follow the news on cbc and al jazeera.  Instead of going to each and every one of these websites and hitting refresh to check for new content, you subscribe to the content using an RSS Feed Reader.  This feed reader pulls the content from the websites you follow and you only have to look in one place for updates.  On ALL the websites you stalk!  What is RSS has a much more complete explanation that I can come up with.

There are PLENTY of options in the world of news readers.  Personally I use Google Reader because I like the fact that I can read my feeds from my desktop, laptop, work, vacation, and whenever I add a new feed, there it is - I don't have to sync or complain to myself that I have different subscriptions at different computers.  (Like in the days of bookmarks which were specific only to the brower that you had added them to.)

If you are confused, post to the forum and someone will help you.  If you don't want to post publicly, no worries.  You can email admin at apvillage dot ca for help from any of our fine board moderators.  Alternatively you can email me at killer dot spice at gmail dot com (remove all dots and replace with actual dots.  same for at, replace with @) and I will help.
